Frequently Asked Question

How do I change my voicemail greeting or recorded name?
Last Updated 3 years ago

If someone calls your phone and it goes to voicemail, your recorded greeting will play to give the caller information before leaving a voicemail. Meanwhile, your recorded name is played instead of listing your extension number in various places. You have the option of changing these messages.

First, you need to log in to your voicemail. You can do that by either pressing the voicemail icon on your phone, or by dialing 2800.

If you are asked to enter a passcode after calling your voicemail, and you do not know what it is, please submit a ticket so that ITS can reset it, or call helpdesk at 573-681-5888.

Once you are signed in, you can follow these steps to change your greeting:

  1. Press 4 to enter the Greeting Management menu.
  2. Wait until you start hearing options.
  3. Press 2 to record a new Personal Greeting.
  4. Press the pound sign (#) when you are finished.
  5. Follow any other directions given by your phone.

If you want to change your recorded name, you can follow these steps:

  1. Press 5 to enter the Personal Options menu.
  2. Wait until you start hearing options
  3. Press 1 to record your name.
  4. Press the pound sign (#) when you are finished.
  5. Follow any other directions given by your phone.
